Rental conditions -Covid19

 If your booking has been affected by events related to the Coronavirus (e.g. border closures or travel restrictions between regions established by the authorities) but due to the lapse of time it is no longer possible to cancel free of charge, Cala del Salento guarantees its customers a full refund of the amount paid in the form of vouchers, money or the possibility change of dates according to the availability,.

 General Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

 The following general conditions form an integral part of the contract concluded with Cala del Salento.it snc, which acts as agent in the name of the owner of the accommodation.

2. Payment conditions

 You can book the accommodation either by phone or directly on our website by choosing either bank transfer or credit card (STRIPE) as payment method. If you choose credit card, your booking will be confirmed immediately; otherwise, if you place a bank transfer order, you will receive a notification within 2 (working days ). The amount of the deposit may vary from 30% to 100% of the total amount of the rent, depending on the request of the owner of the accommodation. The balance of the entire stay must be paid when the keys are handed over (otherwise the keys will not be handed over). If you wish to make a bank transfer, the date of the transfer must not be later than the start date of the stay. The booking is considered confirmed with the payment of the deposit. It is recommended to send the account of the deposit to our email address info@caladelsalento.it. Any special requests must be notified at the time of booking.

3. Prices

 Prices are on weekly or daily basis relating to periods indicated. The minimum stay in high season is 7 days; in low season (set annually) the minimum stay is three nights. The rental price does not include energy consumption, linen (bed, bath and table linen) and the final cleaning of the property, unless indicated otherwise. Any additional services such as linen, etc., should be paid on site. The accommodation is delivered clean and must be returned clean. If the accommodation is returned dirty, the cost of cleaning will be charged to the client and deducted from the deposit. In the price agreed, the agency commissions are included and regularly invoiced by Cala del Salento upon the delivery of the keys of the booked accommodation.

   4. Type of accommodation

 The host is aware that the holiday accommodation is not an official tourist facility but a second home and such accommodations reflect different level of attention and care that depends mainly on owner of the accommodation; both in the architecture and the furnishing. Therefore any inconveniences related to these specific features cannot be accepted as complaints. Each property has been inspected by Cala del Salento, which, however, declines all responsibility for any changes made by the owner without informing the aforementioned agency.

5. Arrivals, departures and general rules

 Check-in is between 16:00 and 20:00 (check-out by 10:00). Arrivals outside these hours must be promptly notified, for such variations reference will be made according to the table below:

  •  from 20.00 to 21.00: € 20,00
  •  from 21.00 to 24.00: € 40,00
  •  from 24.00 to 07.00 (of the following day): € 60,00

 In case you are unable to occupy the flat on the booked day or at the scheduled time due to travel difficulties, strikes, or for personal reasons, there is no refund. The same rule applies in case of early departure. When handing over the keys, a deposit must paid. This sum will be refunded on departure, after deduction of any damage caused to the accommodation or failure to clean it. All accommodation is handed over by the owners clean and in perfect order and must be returned in the same state and with the kitchenette in perfect order including crockery, dishes and kitcheware. The renter will occupy the accommodation respecting all the rules of the good neighbour. The renter is commited to carry out the collection of household waste respecting the information of the dates sheet in each house. Failure to do so will result in a fine of €100 that will be deducted from the deposit. Any damage to furniture will be quantified and the amount will be deducted from the deposit on the day of departure. In some areas of the coastline water is provided by a cistern, which is however good for washing (not for drinking).

6. Payment of tourist tax - Municipality of Porto Cesareo

 The Municipality of Porto Cesareo (Torre Lapillo and Punta Prosciutto) applies the tourist tax. We remind you that this tax should be paid upon entering the property:

  •  The tax is equal to euro 1,00 per day per person
  •  The tax is applied up to a maximum of 7 consecutive nights.

 NOTE: Certain persons are exempted from payment of tax, including: 
  •  A) minors until the day of their 16th birthday;

7. Cancellation of rental

 You can send to info@caladelsalento.it the email you received after making your booking, adding the word 'CANCELLATION' and giving us the bank details where you would like to receive the refund of the amount paid (Bank and IBAN). In case you cancel the booking:
 Time elapsed between arrival and cancellation of 60+ days
  • Expected refund: total amount of the deposit minus 100,00 € for handling costs;

 Time elapsed between arrival and cancellation between 59 and 31 days
  • Expected refund: 50% of the total amount of the booking;

 Time elapsed between arrival and cancellation between 30 and 15 days
  •  Expected refund: total loss of the booking amount;   

8. Liability of the property owner

 The characteristics of the booked accommodation must substantially match to what is written on the house card. The property owner is not liable in the following cases

  •  a) negligence or omission of services attributable to third parties;
  •  b) in case of force majeure or an event that the owner could not foresee despite his diligence;

 9. Unavailability of accommodation

 If for reasons of force majeure the house should become unavailable Cala del Salento is committed to find to the client an equivalent accommodation or alternatively return the deposit paid.

10. Competent court

 Any dispute arising from this contract will be dealt exclusively by the Court of Lecce.
